My platform is Windows 7, 64 bit.
What I did was the following :
1. I uninstalled my previous
incorrect installations.
2. I uninstalled ALL Java
installations (found 3 on the machine).
3. I uninstalled Abobe Air.
4. Rebooted the laptop.
5. Disengaged the anti-virus
software.
6. Disengaged the security software
like Rapport.
Once the above was done I re-logged on to the EasyFile website,
downloaded the software on my harddrive, extracted from the Zip file, then ran
the installation. I accepted all changes requested by the software like loading
the applicable version of Java and Abobe Air, as used by SARS.
Once all done, I attempted to access the EasyFile system and guess what,
it worked like a dream. I was able to load a previous backup, synchronise,
update, etc. All worked well.
I then rebooted by laptop, to re-engage all the security software. The
program still worked.
One major concern. Please do NOT, not at all, allow the Java to upgrade
to the latest version of Java. Permitting this, will result in you having to
redo the entire process, as you wil be back to square 1 with the problems.
So, the overall impact for me, was the Java program. It has to be Java
version 6, update 6. Anything later, is hell.
Hop this helps you.

Hello Mohammed,
Thanks for your query .... unfortunately we also have to suffer
with EasyFile, and dont always have the answers. In your case, I'd like to
suggest that you un-install EasyFile, as well as all other programs it
uses, in particular Adobe-Air. Then start over by re-downloading and
installing EasyFile .... and hope it works

Hi,
Due to a technical issue I was
forced to change my laptop to a new one, and attempted to install the latest
version of EasyFile from the SARS website, version 6.2.2 I think.
My software platform is Windows 7,
64 bit version.
The program installs, checks the Java
and Air versions for compatibility but then, just before the logon script is
run, a dialog box with the word “Processing” appears. And this is where is
stays, indefinitely. It just refuses to go beyond this point until it
times-out, and the log-in dialogue appears. I would capture my details, but
then again, the processing thing would happen again, and it stays like that.
In other words, I just cannot access
the system.
Please can you advise, thanks.
Kind Regards
